Our History
About the club
- Bowls has been played in Stotfold in or around Brook Street and Regent Street since the 1920's. Stotfold Bowls Club, a hazy amalgamation of Stotfold Social Club and Regent Bowls Club, was established at the current location in 1941.
- Today, our green has 6 rinks, and we have a modern pavilion (opened 2000) with bar and kitchen facilities.
- We field several teams in the East Beds & District Bowls League and compete in the Men's County League, as well as playing Mens, Ladies and Mixed mid-week and week-end club matches, and club championships.
- Our season runs from April until September, though we do play a few away-from-home indoor fixtures over the winter.
- We hold an open day at the beginning of each new season so that people can come and give bowls a try, meet our members and maybe go on to join themselves. Watch for announcements!
